I am a sixty eight year old grandfather. For over thirty years I worked in education, university, schools and FE colleges. I have also worked advising small businesses and voluntary community organisations on project development and bid writing. I am involved locally in many local clubs, such as Mossley FC, Friends of Mossley Park, and Mossley Heritage. I am a lifelong trade unionist and Labour activist, serving as a Councillor in Manchester in the 1990s before moving to Mossley. The last few years have meant tough choices due to the Tory austerity measures. It is inconceivable that we live in a society that requires food banks, with millions of children growing up in poverty.
